Question Bluetooth phone delete?

How do you delete the bluetooth phone that has been paired without deleting the phonebook entries? Please help. I could not find the command that deletes just the phone. "Clear" command deletes the whole entries.

Does the manual say anything about it?

You go into phone setup and and then say delete. It will ask which phone you want to delete.

I have had two phones paired and deleted both phones. The phonebook was still intact. The phonebook appears to be completely separate from the pairing of the phones. When I repaired the phones the phonebook still worked for both phones.

Hope that helps.

Old post, but looking for a little help. I tried deleting an old phone and used the above instructions. But the phone will not delete, it sends me in a continuous loop - 'do you want to delete', I say yes, it then asks to 'say ok to confirm delete', i say OK, then is asks 'do you want to delete' yes, and then 'say ok to delete'. It is a continuos loop. I tried to clear everything, same thing. Any ideas? Thanks

I called the support line at handsfree and figured it out. You need to cycle through the commands about 3 times. So you will end up saying yes and Ok to delete 3 times each. It seemed very odd the first time, I did not have enough patience.

BTW, it will be the same process for clearing.

It takes perserverance, and you have to be quick. I think any delay at all will cancel the action and send you back to the last prompt. Thanks to you guys, I just did it on my '06 loaner, and it worked! Acura owner for less than a week, and love my new '07 TL with Navi! Thanks!
