Mine is the same way. Sometimes I get the callers number and sometimes I don't. I don't know if it is the car or bluetooth or the phone. I also noticed that when I answer a call, if I say "hello" shortly after I press the button the caller doesn't hear me. You have to pause a few seconds after hitting the answer button before talking. I suspect that is an issue with bluetooth or my phone though because the hansdfree link via bluetooth to my computer is the same way.

I spent an hour on the phone with T-Mobile and Motorola trying to get a firmware update for my phone. After all that they said I have the latest and there was nothing they could do but charge me $180 for a new Moto Razor and hope it was better. Oh and by the way extend my contract for another year! I said I'll pass. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has had this problem and been able to fix it.

Is it possible that maybe the caller ID info is not available for a particular call and that is why the number is not displaying. I too experience the little delay when answering a call. I figure it is transferring control to you from the computer. Kinda like when you answer the phone at home and there is that long pause while you say hello 3 times and your mind immediately says "telemarketing call...must hang up!!!"

problems w/ the display are just the software version your particular phone is running on. i've had two motorola v-710, the first one only showed the phone # and the 2nd one shows the #, batt, and signal strength. it also comes through the spkrs when you hit the hfl button and only through the phone when you hit the phone talk button. i found out the new one had software upgrades. also the delay when you answer w/ the wheel button is completely normal.

also, you may just have to get a new phone, some cells don't have the proper software to work perfect w/ our hfl.

As I mentioned in a thread I started this very recently, I have this problem since my provider Fido was bought by Rogers. But it says RM on my display under the signal strength meter meaning I'm roaming when I'm actually not... so I dunno what's going on.

I have a brand new (like two days old) Motorola E815. Linked up to the HF just fine. Have not noticed the delay in answering, however, I have yet to see the phone number on the dash display - even from someone in my phonebook. Definitely get battery and signal display.

Works fine on my TL. You know that sometimes the CallerID is not sent to the phone right?
Also the ID is only displayed while the call is ringing. Once it is answered the callerID goes away.
