bluetooth ?

I know this not the right area but I figure more people look here. If I have my phone in the car and bluetooth is working and I want to call someone who is not in the voice recognition, can I dial his number from the phone? If yes I did try it this morning, but how do I get the car to take over the call so I can talk without holding the phone?

I think you would have to tell the car to transfer the call from the phone, but I've never done that... I know its possible though...

Hit the button on the wheel, wait for the beep, then say "transfer"

As others said you can tell it to transfer the call, but in my experience you can't do that until the person picks up the phone.

You could also say "dial" / "call" and then tell it the number.

Also the trick I learned from someone else on this site which I use all the time is to find someone in my phone that I want to call. Press the send button on the phone, and then immediately end the call. You can then tell the car to "redial" and it will call the number you just 'called' from your phone.

If you're in the car and want to use the phone to call someone who's not in your phonebook. Just push the button and say "dial 732-xxx-xxxx', the system will answer "do you want to call 732-xxx-xxxx?', just push the button and say "yes". The car will make the call. If you're in the middle of a call and want to get out of the car, push the button and say "transfer" and the phone will take over the call.
