Bluetooth 16 digit password?

Can anyone help me out here. Where is this 16 digit password to enter in to the Sony Ericcson T-610. Is it in the manual? Do I call T-Mobile?> Is it in my car?> Please help.

you assign a 4 digit pw through the car's BT system and enter it on the phone. I can't think of anything that would be 16 digits except for maybe the BT address, which is assigned automatically.

you assign it in the car and then the phone will ask you to enter it to verify the connection

I am starting from scratch and it says :

To add device to your phone-phone searches for bluetooth device. a list of avaliable devices appear. select a device. ENTER A PASSKEY (UP TO 16 DIGITS) FOR THE DEVICE, BOTH IN THE PHONE AND THE PC,CAR,ETC. IF PASSKEY DOES NOT COME WITH THE BLUETOOTH DEVIVCE WHEN YOU BUY IT, YOU NEED TO CREATE ONE YOURSELF.

Thanks for so much help!

Yes. When you go through the setup procedure in the TL it will ask for a 4 digit PIN. ANY 4 digits will do. Then the phone will ask you to enter the same 4 digits to confirm. The Bluetooth Spec allows for up to 16 digits for this PIN but the HFL only uses a 4 digit PIN.

easy fix, enter 0000 as the passwords...

For example, to pair a bluetooth cellphone to another bluetooth cellphone, you might have to put in a password to verify the person. The password can be anything, but 0000 is simple - and almost everyone around here knows to put in 0000 (no questions asked)...
