Blown subwoofer

I have a 2007 TL Type S with a blown subwoofer, I think it is an 8 inch sub. Can anyone tell me what decent aftermarket sub will work with the system in this car. I am going crazy without music ! Thanks in advance !

If you want a drop-in replacement....there are multiple threads over this. SEARCH

If you want an 8 for a small box with aftermarket amp, look into the SA-8

Is it true the factory amp only gives the factory sub 30 watts at 0.5% THD and 40 watts at 10% THD ?

Different threads have different answers.

Those are pretty close. I test the stock connection at just over 30 watts with the volume a 35. I have no idea about the THD - I just wanted to see how big of a LOC to use.
