Big problems... need help (Sub + Noise Cancellation)
If you're putting an aftermarket sub and amp, it's best to just unplug the stock sub, but you can leave it in it's place if you'd like.
Also, unplugging the rear mic in the headliner will NOT affect your bluetooth... The bluetooth uses different mics.

It's best to unplug the factory sub, mostly just for sound quality, if you're using an aftermarket sub. That way it won't pop or distort.
You still need to unplug the mic from the rear headliner...
Same problems but worse
I have had the same problem...my situation is worse. As I start to close my trunk the feedback gets worse and I have tried everything even disconnecting the ANC unit in the dashboard and nothing has solved the issue. I used to get feedback only when the doors were closed, but it doesnt matter.
So after you disconnected your mics you had no more problems?? I know you probably already know this but most rattle comes from the license plate...get two sponges from wal-mart or something and put it behind the plate and that should stop it.
i put foam behind the lic plate and i turned the subs forward facing inside the car and i have a whole trunk kit worth of dynamat and nothing is working. It is really getting to a point where i get so pissed off now. The thing that bothers me is that i cant hear the bass coming outside my car as loud as i could hear it from my 02 tls and my 02 tls hardly rattled.
well, that's the thing. You've done a great job with DYn etc that you've deadened the sound transfer ouside the car. You will need to just crank it up and start holding parts of the car until you find what is making the noise ; then see what you can do to shore it up more.
Rattle problem
I have found that most of the noise at least in the car is coming from the rear decklid where the speakers are housed. There is a plastic strip that vibrates against the window that is so loud that you can barely hear the bass in the car. I just put some paper wedges in between, but I recommend some weather stripping or something like that, even some folded carpet. That will help inside but if your trunk is still rattling add more dynomat. I dont think that there is anything else you can do....at least you are able to have bass in your car it wont even work in my 07 tls.
i have an 08 tl type s and i am getting the hum when the door is closed or when u cut the car on it goes away when the car is off or you open the passenger door i will try this fix and see what happens.

Instructions on unplugging the rear mic.
1. Use a small tip straight screw driver to pop out the plastic coverings for the lights.
Try prying each out from the center of the whole lighting fixture.
2. Unscrew two scews that hold the lighting fixture in place.
Use a wrench , it's easier.
3. Remove the fixture from its place and leave dangling.
4. Above the light fixture you will find a wire with a green clip.
5. Detach this clip.
If you pinch the clip from the top it slides out easily.
6. Reattach light fixture - Enjoy your new clean bass.

ANC with aftermarket SUB - Unplug Microphone(s)
Ok guys... problem solved...
........You have to remove the plastic trip by the front dome light, and unplug the SMALL microphone. The two large slots are for the voice recognition system, which wont be affected. There's also a SECOND microphone behind the dome light in the rear of the car.
Once they're disconnected, problem solved. It's easy to reverse as well.......
Remember guys, this ONLY applies to the '07 Type-S

Within this thread are instructions to unplug the front mic only, the rear mic only, and the ANC module only. Anybody know which parts, or if all of this is necessary when adding an aftermarket Sub to an '07 TL-S?
Ive heard of some people only having to unplug the rear mic, and some havingt to unplug them both...its your choice as to which route you want to go to disable the system, if you go to the module then you wont have to unplug the mics, and vise versa
Ive heard someone say that they have just had to remove the rear one....you mnight as well just do both of them at the same time and save the agrivation. It should only take a few minutes to disconnect them both
Thanks guys, The Best Buy install kids disconnected the rear mic and left my sealed box sub connected to the rear speakers channel, claiming a connection to the rear sub channel generates intolerable feedback. They insisted it was not possible to get the system to work with the LOC on the subwoofer channel.
I will take out the front mic and change the LOC back to the sub channel where it belongs. I KNEW they were stumped and therefore blowing smoke to keep from admitting it when they told me the system would not work if my new sub amp got it's signal from the factory sub channel.

I also just installed a sub and amp and was having the same problem. I unplugged the rear Mic it still have a low humming sound. This car is new to me and I don't know how to take It all apart like my STI.. can someone tell me how to unplug either the ront mic or just the module under the center channel speaker. I looked at the module and Its tight In there. Should I unbolt it and then unplug? Then bolt I back In?
nevermind... i just figured instead of waiting for an answer i would just figure it out. Im pretty mechanically inclined so i knew i wouldnt have a problem but was just unsure on how to take apart some things. I hate breaking those little clips and such. I just pulled the center channel speaker and then unscrewed the little gray box. You dont have to take the nuts all the way off, i realized this later when i struggled to get them off and noticed that all i had to do is unscrew a little bit and slide it up and off. Once i unplugged the module all noise that i was having was gone.. Perfect. thanks Acurazine for helping me with my problem.. Now i just need to find a 3K HID kit for my fog lights...
This thread is the best!!! Some problem with the HUMM, just put in an all new JL system cost me about 1200 and i was like WTF is that noise!!
also, the vibrating rear deck against the window is the annoying rattle, wedge something in there and youll be good! BOOM! LOVE ACURAZINE!

I just installed 2 JL 10's and disconnected the rear mic, but my connector does not look like this. Mine was a small connector found on a microchip. Shortly after I disconnected it, a message on my nav screen about my TPMS comes on. Any else have similar problems? Im going to the connect the cable again into the little box up and see what happens.
How do you get at the mic behind the front dome lights?

Also, where are you supposed to disconnect the ANC box behind this front center speaker?
Update:
Okay, so now the rear mic is disconnected, ANC module is completely removed, and still getting the humming coming from the subwoofer after I start the car. Doesn't matter whether or not the doors are open or closed, and the any use of the windows/AC seems to make the humming noise get louder.. Any ideas anyone?
