Big problem...looking for help...

Ok, I did a quick search and did not find anything...
I'm going out to best buy and play some pool and everything is cool.
Listening to XM radio as I pull in to the Best Buy parking lot.
Go in, get what I wanted, come out and turn on car...
As i'm driving through the parking lot i realize no sound...so I turn it up...nothing...so i go to turn off the radio...power button doesn't do anything. I try to switch to CD, disk/tape button doesn't do anything. I try to switch to radio...fm/am button doesn't do anything. I spin the chanel button...it switches XM (on display) but no sound. I spin the volume...the display shows a change in volume...but no sound.
I use the steering wheel controlls to switch to CD...it works but no sound. I try to use the buttons to switch disks...no response. If i use the touch screen the disks change (as do the XM radio if i'm on that). But the physical buttons do nothing.
I hit the voice command button...i don't hear the voice, but i say disk 5. It switches to disk 5 but nothing. I say XM it switchs to XM but nothing.I say AC off the AC turns off, but again no voice.
I say stereo off and it switches off. I can't use the big power button to turn it on but i can turn it on with voice commands.

Anyone hear of this???
I'm about to disconnect the battery to rest the system but i wanted to see you're all responses first.

I've never heard of this happening, but perhaps it's something as simple as a blown fuse?

Disconnect the battery

this specifically didn't happen to me, but my HFL locked and no sound worked... once i disconnected the battery for a few seconds everything worked fine, just a glitch

I tried to disconnect the battery...no go, same symptoms.
I checked the fuse (#5). It's fine.
I guess I'll have to set up an appt with the dealer.
Man, you never know how much you miss it till you drive by yourself w/o it!!

Sounds like the antitheft system was activated, find the code in your glovebox probably and type it in, if it says ErrE on your upper console disconnect your battery for 1 minute, then type it in. As you type in the code it should start to spell CODE on your upper dash
