Bass cuts off around level 24

Morning all,

Wanted to run this minor issue thats been a small peev of mine. It pertains to my factory stereo.

I have all factory speakers except for my subwoofer. I'm using a 10" bazooka tube with an Alpine mono amp ( forgot model )

Bass works fine until I raise the volumne to 25,..or 26 and up. Bass cuts off, highs stay on. Once I lower the volumne bass returns.
I'm also running a LOC made by stinger, connected to my factory bass connector.

Here are some things i noticed:

- Amp doesnt go into protect mode when bass cuts off.
- Does not overheat
- I've been using this bazooka tube for over 10 years...this sub has outlived most of my cars.

- Only thing I can think of would be the gains. Some insight on how to properly set them would be great.

On my stereo I have the subwoofer level set to -4
so I assume gain on the amp might be a bit to high. I havent checked yet but am wondering if anyone could shed some insight on this.

maybe my LOC sucks? LOC = Line Output Converter

Which stinger LOC are you using? SGN11? Does it have wires coming out of it, or is it a block-style?
