Aux input...
I'm actually going to use it for my Garmin GPS...
I know, I know... I should've just gotten a the stock NAV, but the Garmin Nuvi 660 is a lot better than the stock '06 NAV (Traffic, Text to Speech, more POI's, etc.).

No no... i feel you... I read up on the threads about the Nav unit, and i didn't like it either. I too have a Garmin and would much rather use that than the stock Nav unit. I was going to say if you were doing it for an iPOD integration, go for the DICE iPOD adapter. Connects ur iPOD to your headunit and also has an AUX IN as well....

Does the Nuvi not have any sort of speaker? Any AUX input you use is going to override ALL other audio signals. That means no radio, no CDs, no XM . . . just dead air between Nuvi voice prompts. This is one of the main advantages of intergrated NAV.
My wife uses a Garmin GPSMAP 478 in her Mazda. It has small speaker built into the car power adapter. We have to keep the radio low to hear it, but at least we can have music too.

But - If you never listen to multichannel music (DVD-A) then you might want to simply wire up the garmin to the center channel speaker. Unless your blasting audio you should be able to hear it.
According to the Nuvi page on Garmin's website, the unit has a built in speaker. Unless you want to take Adobeman's suggestion -- and I would recommend you at least TRY a commercial DVD-A before doing so -- your best bet is to use that speaker. I suspect what you really want is functionality like the built in NAV: automatic muting of other audio to allow voice prompts to be heard. You aren't going to get that with an aftermarket unit.
Actually guys... My Garmin Nuvi has a built-in MP3 player. And, I've got a 4GB card in there, so it can store plenty of music. It does mute the mp3, when it wants to give directions, and then resumes playing the mp3... It's also got Bluetooth integrated, so I can also hear my calls through the car stereo if I get the aux input.
The only thing about the stock TL NAV that's better than the Garmin is the bigger screen, voice command ability, and the aesthetics....

yeah, it's got the fm wireless, and that's what i've been suffering through for the past few days... That's why I'm asking in the first place... The FM transmitter is terrible. I can't get or keep a good signal for the life of me.
