Auto Door Lock @ 10 mph

Just curious if anyone else has noticed this. I have my auto door lock setting on my 2008 TL to lock at 10 mph, but it tends to happen much sooner than 10 mph...sometimes half that speed. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yeah, mine does that too. I really don't mind. It seems to be tied more to RPMs while in drive or momentum than actual MPH. Maybe my speedo is off, but I'm still on stock wheels & tires.

I set my 5AT to lock upon shifting out of "Park" since I never drive at that low of a speed and don't have valets or car wash workers driving the car at low speed.

I bet the speedo could be pretty far off down in that low range.

you can change the settings to not lock at all. or to unlock just your door when you put it in park

yea the speedo is actually not entirely that accurate when you're basically rolling lol.
i've set mine to 25 - not really that big of an issue, you lock for safety and convenience issues when you're going that speed. Not like some how the doors are gonna get blown off and you fall out lol ... knock on wood?

then again if something freaky like that happened i'd rather it happen at 10 MPH than 35 MPH
