Cool Audio shuts off 2 minutes after code put in...

I replaced my alternator 3 weeks ago. I called the dealership and got the audio code (55352) and everything worked great for like a week. Then because my alternator failed, my battery was damaged. So I replaced the battery and again put in the same code. It turns the audio on and is full functioning for about 2 minutes and then everything shuts off again.
I go through the whole process (hold 1 & 6 down, turn the radio on, wait for the codes and then enter in 55352) everything comes back on again. Then 2 minutes later, everything shuts off!!

I can do this all day long and the code works every time but shuts off 2 minutes later. The dealership was no help and they want $90 just to diagnose it!
Anyone have any suggestions??

We have already disconnected the battery for half an hour and tried it again. Still does it.

Please help!

is it possible the alternator you swapped is garbage? Sounds like possibly the power is spiking down causing the radio to totally lose power. If i had to guess i would imagine that it happened when your fans kicked on. Hence why it would happen pretty often. just a guess?

Why would the alternator work great for 2 weeks and then coincidently when I replace the battery it stops working?

well without being there i can't tell for sure
but i have made the mistake of changing the battery when it was a bad alternator to begin with. i would go down to your local auto parts store and have them do a quick test to see if your alternator is ok. back in the day you could just remove the cables from the battery and if it stayed on and functioned as normal your alternator was good. But with everything being electronic on our cars i would just take the car in to get the alternator checked than to risk damaging something electrical .
