Audio Install in TL (pics)

After a long hiatus and being lazy, I finally got the trunk done. Couldn't be more happier with it. I was going for more of a clean and simple look rather than showy fiberglass. Flush mounted SS Reference amps and 3 Elemental Designs 9kv2's. The box is slot ported on one side, and the other side is there just to make it look semetrical. I have still got plenty of trunk space and I can still use my spare tire as well!

I am guessing you mean speakers? Yeah I have put some Resonant Engineering components up front. Sounds awesome. I am not a big proponent of rear fill so I took all those speakers out in the back. Car is deadened as well (got pics of that somewhere). It is still very difficult to get rattle free, especially the bottom of the trunk for some reason. I would say I got rid of 90% rattles. People can't believe when I pop the trunk they are just little 8's!

man, that is nicely done. One question for you though...do you trap quite a bit of the bass in the trunk? I notice a HUGE difference in bass response when I open my ski port, and it seems a beauty panel would sort trap the bass in the trunk...that is why I didnt do one.

Actually I have tried opening the ski port. The one thing I think it does is give the air another way to travel, and it reduces the rattles on the rear deck. That may be why it sounds louder, because there is less resonating frequency. The panel doesn't affect anything, those frequencys will travel right through it. I had a sealed box before this in there without the panel, and the difference is night and day.
