Was wondering if anyone has tried this out and if it exhibits the same problems as the w600 and w810. I can only assume it does since most of the SE phones have very similar firmware.

I hope not though because I think that the SE phone are some of the nicest looking phones out there

 

I have the k800i which is very similar. it can receive calls but not dial out thru hands free. it also took a lot of fiddling to even get it half working.

 

Yeah I REALLY want a k790, but having also tried out a k800 (virtually the same phone - just a cell-band difference) it didn't work, and I was extremely sad/angry. I love se phones, even though I hate sony, and I'm so mad that none of them work with the HFL anymore.

 

I have the K790. It shows the signal strength and battery life but has problems with dialing out. It will dial out but then switch to the handset once it connects. I haven't tried receiving a call yet so I can't comment on that.

 

I tried out receiving calls in the TL, it works just fine. Only outgoing calls have a problem. Btw, i have a 2004 TL.

 

Anybody try the new firmware? Supposedly it helps.

I just bought a K790a from Rogers today, and I can confirm that it does indeed work with the HFL in my 04 TL.
Firmware: R1EG001

 

Yup, mine works now with the latest firmware, R1EG001

 

anyone have any luck with the K800i with the updated software mentioned above? meaning, dialing and receiving through HFL ?

It works perfectly with HFL

 

I noticed that the transfer function doesn't work. I haven't had the chance to test out call waiting.

 

What year TLs do you guys have? I'm considering getting a k790a but my motorola V710 work perfectly. Even with the old software. I don't want to switch from a functioning set up to something with issues.
