Just letting everyone know about the crazy trouble I have had when installing the iSimple gateway for my 2005 with navi.

Pretty easy to install and tear everything out. But the WORST design flaw of having the gateway charge via the 30 pin connector at all times caused my battery to drain. After calling customer service, they say its supposed to go into sleep mode... definitely not the case. My battery died on random occasions (2 month old battery) , and sometimes over night...even after heading to work and leaving 8 hours later it would be completely dead.

I took everything apart and uninstalled the gateway, has been 2 weeks and no battery problems... starts up smooth.... even after leaving it for 2 days. (this would always kill the battery before)

So if anyone is questioning about a potential parasitic draw...check your iSimple. Im back to using my Monster tape to 3.5 ...
