Anyone get the v600 to work correctly?

Has anyone gotten the Motorola v600 to work correctly without setting the phone's "open to answer" off? For me the whole point of a flip phone is to see who's calling on the outside screen and then just answer by opening the phone, but from what a lot of people have written here it sounds like you have to have that turned off in order for this phone to work with the TL.

There is a bug in the phone that's been reported on extensively in this forum. According to Johnson Controls, Motorola is working on a patch that should be out soon.

I had factory settings in, didn't change anything, and the HFL works like a charm. I have an unlocked/unbranded v600 on T-Mobile.

The v500 does not have 850mhz so I wouldn't touch it since it limits your coverage to T-mobile only. I want a v600 but there have been a lot of reported problems with it and the TL. I'll give it another month and see if Motorola fixes the issue. (A few say it works perfectly, but most report problems with the HFL)

The V600 Clam shell has to be open to answer your calls!!!!!!! I repeat leave your V600 open to recieve calls while in your car.

I heard that the HFL fix is with AT&T for testing and should be available as a software update for the v600 around the end of June. Cross your fingers.

Try pressing and holding the talk button a few secs before releasing. Works every time even with shell closed.

I'd be surprised if this happened since the flex version on AT&T's V600 is all hacked up. Just like what they did with the Nokia 3650 when it came out, Nokia 7210 and Sony Ericsson P800.

Does it show the battery life on the HFL? I heard it doesn't

I have a cingular V600.

If I leave the phone open in the car I CANNOT receive calls to the HFL.

If I hold the button down for a few seconds it does no good.

I tried every combo I could think of and there is NO WAY my phone is
going to let the TL answer any calls.

I have not received one call to my HFL since I bought this V600.

I had a V525 before this and it worked fine.

Maybe if I flex and flash to the 525 software it will work!!

Yeah I hear so many combo settings. My v600 worked when I left the clamshell open. Hope you get your solution fixed
