I'm having the hardest time and my neighbors are starting to think I'm crazy talking to the car for hours.

How did you do it? I've been unsuccessful in getting my VZW 8830 World Edition to pair up with my '04.

Have you updated the Blackberry's OS?

I had an 8830 and it worked much better after some updates.

I never got it to work with the address books properly. I assume the format is incompatible.

I might have to try that -- mine gets to the point that I enter the 4 digit code, the phone adds the HFL device and completes the procedure, but my TL's HFL just stays on the "PAIR" screen. I have to pull a fuse to unlock it.

To other posters -- my TL's an '04. It doesn't support the address book download. What's really frustrating is it paired right up with my wife's new MDX, but that's not my daily driver.

That's crazy cause mine's an 08 and the phone I'm sure was out about that time too, you would think it would work. I'm a realtor so it would be nice to have all contacts easily accessible on there to call or drive to their location.

I've made an appointment with my dealer to look into it -- my car probably needs TSB 05-020 applied because it is a very early production '04.

Just not compatible or are we doing something wrong?

What would be compatible? I think that will be a required feature on my next phone.

I had my HFL module replaced today under warranty -- my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry 8830 World Edition now pairs up with the car.

I brought the Acura instructions for pairing with it and a copy of TSB 05-020 with me and showed the service advisor how it locked up. He was pushing back on my diagnosis but when he figured out the car is under the Acuracare warranty he lightened right up.
