Forgot the 4 digit password for HFL, and I tried pulling out fuse 6 to reset the HFL, but it didn't work. I want to try disconnect the battery. I'm wondering is there any side effect for disconnect the battery? I think I got some info about disconnecting battery will cause some malfunction. Is that true?? Thanks in advance.

 

Make sure you have the PIN for your radio & navi.

 

Appreciate for your response. I have the PINs. Just wondering if there is any other effect on the car, such as the car computer chip etc.

 

you will loose your radio presets, memory settings and a few other things. As well after reconnecting make sure the car idles for 15 minutes with all the accessory components off (radio, A/C, heater, etc)

 

Thanks a lot. I disconnected the battery and waited for about 20 hrs, then reconnect the battery. But the HFL is still locked and the seats memory is still there. The only things reset are the radio and the clock. Any suggestion for that??
