Alpine-iPod Interface available

FYI:

http://alpine-usa.com/driveyouripod/

Remains to be seen exactly how this works with the TL's Alpine navi (and obviously Panasonic stereo)...

Went through the demo. It frankly looks easier to just keep the iPod in a cupholder or holster and control it, which is what I already do. We'll see if a better solution for our stereo comes along...

Moving to BT/Navi/Audio/Video

I don't like taking my eyes off the road long enough to drill down to the Genre -> Artist -> Album that I'm looking for. If this actually integrates with the Navi's LCD, I'd be in heaven. I read the specs and went through the demo and it doesn't really mention it, but I'm wondering what kind of integration there will be -- new voice commands, extra buttons on the LCD, ... ? I'd agree that pushing a preset button and then choosing tracks with the volume dial is pretty clunky, but an iTunes-like interface in my car would be beautiful. I'll take whatever I can get though really -- this has to sound better than FM modulation too.

Hopefully we'll get more information specific to the TL soon

Chris I dont think this is going to work since the navi is alpine and the radio is panasonic. I hope they come up with something soon FM mon sucks. I have checked every company that makes any type of adaptor they have them for navi accords but nothing for the 04TL its killing me...

Someone mentioned that the Navi has the Alpine Ai-Net (or whatever) ports - hence my initial post. I'm not sure but I'm sticking with FM modulation for now...

I just called alpine. The person I spoke to said that the TL radio is not compatable.

That sucks
