Alarm's....
Alarm's....
Well I definitely want to get a better alarm for my 07 type S. I have been checking out this unit: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MakeTrack=true
From what I understand a couple people have the hornet 700t and they like it a lot, I particularly like the feateure that it still uses the factory key fob. When you keep the fob are you still able to roll the windows down??
Any other alarm sugggestions are welcome, thanks a lot.
Tony.

I am not interested in getting remote start. Main reason is that I have 6mt, but I just dont really want it either.
Question on remote start though... Back when I had my 00 accord ex v6 the only wya to add remote start was to put one of the key chips somewhere near the steering column so that it would start. Do you have to do that with the TL?

I just did some upgrades to the factory alarm... I added some shock sensors... Cheap and not to hard once I figured out what I needed on this great site.
You can even add glass sensors if you want. I see no point to get an aftermarket one to go ontop of this one unless you want that page option, which in my book is useless. If it goes off and you go to your car by than the people are gone already. And if you are close enough to get there fast you can hear the car itself anyway.
Only thing bad about the stock alarm which I still wana look into is the fact it uses the HIDs when the alarm goes off. I rather it use the fog lights so it dont blow the not so cheap HIDs out...

Yes, I will like to know as well. I would like to add a shock sensor and a glass sensor to the stock alarm system. I'm not a technical guy and would rather have a professional install it for me.
I was doing a little research on alarms, but I always wondered what functionality I would lose if I just went with a completely new alarm system. for example, would I not be able to open the trunk anymore with the fob? Would I not be able to put down all the windows? etc.
Also, I'm worried about voiding the warranty if I install a new alarm system
