Aftermarket sub with stock headunit problems NEED HELP

I have a 2004 acura tl and I just added 2 10's and and amp. I ran a 4g power wire, remote turn on (12v), and I tapped into the factory subs speaker wire to connect to the LOC. The amp turns on but I have no output from the subs. I tried replacing the LOC in case it went bad and no change. I amp and subs worked fine in another vehicle. Please help I can't find a solution on the forum.

Which speaker wires did you tap? If you grabbed the fronts or rears after the factory amp they are high passed ~100Hz. You need to connect to the factory sub wires if you did not.

I used the yellow/black and lt green/red wires at the factory amp. According to the schematic I have they are the Wires between the factory amp and factory sub.

Is it possible you tapped into the pre amp signal in which case instead of cutting the signal with a loc you would need to boost the signal (depending on your amp).

Why didn't you just grab the signal at the sub? The stock sub needs to be unplugged when you use the post amp signal.

When I was running the wires I was planning on using the factory remote turn on(which I soon realized was on 6v and not enough to turn on the amp). Since I was running a remote turn on I just figured that I would run additional wires for the speaker leads from the same place. I will try to wire the loc directly to the sub leads in the trunk and see if it makes a difference.

If you have a headphone to RCA connector you could try hooking up an iPod/iPhone to the amp to see if you get any output. Is it possible you spliced the wrong end of the wire after you cut it? Like the side going to the sub rather than the side coming from the wiring harness/amp? I know it sounds pretty stupid, but it happened to me recently when I stayed up really late working on an install and wasn't paying close attention.

Ditch the LOC and tap the RCAS Into the factory amp. Do a search on hear to find the amp diagram. Had the same problem. Pm for any questions
