Aftermarket headunit installation and keeping the amp option possible?

Hello Acurazines.
Please skip to the "summary" section if you want to see the questions quickly.

My car(05 non navi) currently has an aftermarket sub(tapped into the factory sub-wire in the rear deck + removed the factory sub) with an amp.
I also have replaced the front speaker system with a 2ohm JBL front speaker component system recently.
But my factory HU seems to be slowly dying as it sometimes is unable to read some tracks or stops reading in the middle randomly.

I was thinking if I should just use the casette tape and connect it to my phone to play the music,
but I'm leaning toward getting an aftermarket headunit as there are good deals coming(Black Friday, end of year, etc).

I did some research but could not find out the absolute answer.

So my option would be to use the factory amp perhaps.
From my own research, I saw some people reporting static noises after keeping their factory amp paired with the aftermarket HU,
how can I avoid this issue?

To keep things very simple and minimal, I want to use the factory wires including the subwoofer. So to use the subwoofer,
probably I would need a LOC? So I would need to connect the RCA cable and connect it to the subwoofer RCA output of the HU,
then connect it to RCA input port of the LOC, then solder/splice/connect to the 2(+ & -) wires?
If LOC is needed, I'm thinking of putting the LOC inside the glove box (I put all my crossovers inside the glove box as well)

In summary,
-how can I pair the new aftermarket HU with the factory amp without getting static noise issues
-The best way to send a clean signal to the aftermarket subwoofer from the HU? (RCA output -> LOC RCA Input -> tap into LOC output wires using the factory subwoofer wires?)

Thank you very much for your time

Here’s a good source for some of the things you’re looking for. https://mobilemaxcaraudio.com/

I tried keeping stock radio and amp hooked up to aftermarket speakers, subs and amps and decided against it after a few days.

The stock HU is very good. Stock amplification not so much. easy to run stock HU into aftermarket amp/speakers

Thank you for your reply.

I already have bought the aftermarket HU with a complete dash kit that includes the wire harness and a steering wheel control.

I also previously have upgraded the front speakers and tweeter to a JBL one (2ohm) and an aftermarket subwoofer in the trunk with an amp.

So as you can see, the JBL speakers are 2ohm speakers and the aftermarket HU pumps 4ohm power.
Therefore it is given that I have to keep the factory amp to power the front speakers.

What I am worried about is, how do I keep the factory amp powering all the speakers like now without an issue such as static noise, etc.

Since I'm changing the HU, I will directly connect the subwoofer to the HU to gain the subwoofer volume control.

Happy New Year

Actually when I added an aftermarket sub (JL 12" in a box with an amp) and changed the front component system to a JBL system(2ohm)(simple replacement),
I was happy with the result. The front speakers sounded a lot better than the stock although it was powered by the factory amp.
Also the lack of low to mid bass caused by the weak factory subwoofer was solved by the JL subwoofer (300W rms).

However, I do not have a DVD writer anymore and I installed a backup camera. So I need a screen and I want to play music from USB.
Thus I decided to go with an aftermarket HU.

I am aware that the stock HUs are really great but yeah, only if it had a USB port, then it would have changed my game.
And also my stock HU sometimes can not read DVDs randomly which I assume is probably failing due to aging.
But yeah, it's a great car. I'm happy with the car after all. This is my 2nd TL. I had one back in 2007 until 2011 (AT) and
I always wanted to have a MT since then so now I got it lol. I was actually looking for a 2009+ 6spd MT TL with SH-AWD system but
I couldn't find it at all. It's so rare. If I got my hands on that, I wouldn't be posting here as that 4th Gen TL comes with a USB port and backup camera already.

Anyways, I'm going to install the aftermarket HU soon and I'm worried about possible issues that may arise such as static noise, as I m not going to by-pass the amp as the front speakers need to be powered by a 2ohm factory amp.

Oh and Happy New Year

Are you sure that your new HU is not stable driving a 2ohm load? that would be a bit unusual, but not unheard of. What HU did you get?
