Just recently purchased an 04 TL with Nav and was interested in purchasing an after market back up camera. I came across this one:

I was wondering if I could hook this up to the Nav without purchasing another monitor and if so what additional things would I need in order to have this set up work.

 

You can not add a back-up camera to the 2004 navigation system without a separate monitor.

Sorry, I misread the question. I meant that there was no oem way to install the camera as the 2004 did not have that option.

There are aftermarket adapters that you can buy which will allow you to tap into the nav screen for the purposes of a back-up camera as well as other things. Here is a link to one of them.
