After market audio power cable to battery connection

I am planning on installing an aftermarket audio system to my car and was wondering how you guys have been tapping into the stock power system? In my previous ride, I was able to simply able to tap in at the positive battery terminal with a ring connector. However, the TL setup makes this a little more difficult with all of the covers and such. I would like to have a stock looking setup with the power wire hidden. Also, I have been told by some local installers that they tap into the fuse/distribution box rather than the battery terminal. Of course, I plan on having a fuse located on the battery side and the wire running through the firewall via grommet (kind of elementary, but I’ve seen a lot of unsafe DIY systems out there).

Any advice (especially pics of how you’ve done it) would be greatly appreciated!

Props to DeathtoToasters for his outstanding DIY guide (https://acurazine.com/forums/audio-video-electronics-navigation-22/questions-adding-sub-amp-120614/) and King of Pain (https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133822) for his system advice!
