Thank you for the reply and info jda123.
I'm confused on what you saying to "need to use the sub channel for the sub" Ya I understand in part to use the oem sub channel but how if you will please detail. I have all ready tried it directly from the oem amp sub output to my HD900 and it sounds really bad.

I'm also not clear on this you mentioned if you will please say it a different way
"Drop a LOC on that sub channel and see if that fixes your needs"

Yes the HD900 has 3 inputs as detailed on this page

I meant to use a Line Out Converter on the subwoofer plug in the rear deck. If you did it post-amp, then this is probably the same thing, but I don't know.

Oh wow ... I clearly had no idea what I was talking about in my posts back in March

I've definitely done my homework on car audio since then, and I'd like to say I've gotten to truly appreciate car audiophiles since then lol You can definitely use a line output converter [LOC] which has signal leads which you would need to connect directly (splice, solder, heatshrink) to the speaker signal wires that lead OUT of the stock amplifier (the stock amplifier is located in the passenger-side kick panel)

A great thread that explains all of the wiring: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/details-stock-tl-amp-558485/

All that the LOC does is convert the lowlevel signals from the stock amplifier to RCA's that you can use to connect to your aftermarket amplifiers ... your HDamp has built in crossovers that you can adjust I believe (low/high pass). Therefore with your aftermarket amps you're "amplifying" the signal as well as setting crossover frequencies to determine what range of sound you want your speakers to play.

HOWEVER, that's the point, in which the capabilities end ... one thing I learned in doing some research was that amplifying the stock speakers will definitely provide more "juice" to the speakers; however, the real magic happens with the inclusion of a sound processor ... time alignment, multiple-band equalization, crossover capabilities, the whole shebang!!!

EDIT: But yeah ... got carried away there @_@ in regards to hooking up RCAs for your subwoofer at the time being, you can use a 2-channel LOC to connect to the OEM sub wires on the rear deck ... but that means you'll still be missing the rest of your channels (your speaker RCAs). What you can do is use a multi-channel LOC (6channel-front, rear, sub) or you can purchase a sound processor which would require post-stockamp signal wires leading to the processor input channels ... again if you just want to hook it up without equalization (as well as the others) you can just go with the LOC and call it a day ... (if you use a RTA you'll see that the stock amplifier was made to cut off lower frequency bass to protect the stock speakers/sub due to their lower quality paper cones, etc. - the sound processor would correct not only that but in general flatten out the entire signals so that you have uniform sound at all frequencies both high and low ... )

So how are people connecting the wires to their oem rear speakers from underneath the trunk tray?

I'll actually be putting in some rear coaxials hopefully later today

If you take out the trunk "ceiling" panel, it exposes the under side of the rear deck, and I believe you can gain access to the rear 6.5" speaker wires from there (some holes of some kind I believe) (https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=724703; Post #32 by jptl04)

Yes, you can get at the rear speaker wiring (6.5s and subwoofer) by taking off the top trunk panel. You cannot get any of the speakers out, however - you have to remove the deck panel to do replace/remove the speakers.

Exactly - removing the rear deck is no easy task either ... need to remove the rear seats, the rear pillars, and then you finally have access to that deck panel ... after you've done it couple times or so, it becomes easier as you know where all the tabs and bolts are .

Thanx everybody. But I would like to know how u guys are attaching the wires back to the oem speakers. (this is what I mean: After I tap into the rear oem wires with my LOC then run the RCA cables to the amp. How do I hook up the wires coming from the amp back to the rear oem speakers.). Sorry if this sounds confusing.

Probably best to run all new 16gauge wiring ... the rear deck speakers are right there above the trunk so you don't have to run them far either

You can tap into the speakers right where you cut the wires for your LOC... wherever it is. If you do it in the rear, then right there. If you do it in the passenger kick panel once the wires exit the amp, then do it there.
