Adding Bluetooth or Aux port or iPod with stock headunit

I know that "isimple" seems to be often said, but I've not looked into it in depth. This sounds like an expensive process to modernize the 3g TL from an audio standpoint, but I dont think I can just deal with XM in the car anymore.

Can anyone give a noob some direction? I dont want to change the headunit at all.

Don't you people realize you can just get a cassette adapter and pretty much have the same functionality as an aux or iPod port.

Yes, but we also realize how shitty the quality comes from using a tape cassette adapter. Maybe you didn't realize that.

It's a bit sad to have a surround sound system designed by a grammy winning audio engineer only to make it sound terrible using one of those.

I've never really pumped it too much to notice its crappy, then again I'm a simple guy when it comes to audio.

This Pioneer AppRadio 2 in the car I just bought is pissing me off though. The damn touchscreen is too distracting especially with a stick shift (I'm new to a manual but come from the world of motorcycles). Previous owner installed the HU nicely but wiring may have been butchered because my navi screen is unresponsive and the centre speaker on the dash has static noise. I've ordered a stock HU and hopefully can get everything back to normal.

Does anyone have any experience with this? It says will work with 2006 TL. I have a 2005, and my reading has never mentioned any radio headunit differences. Also, which I simple do people use most in 3g TL?

Well, I was just trying to see what this was, but I figured there was a reason I wasnt aware of this prior...

I just went to the ISIMPLE website and I was taking a look around but that site has no search my car make model, so Im back to ask owners...

I want to have an AUX port connection so that I play music from my andriod phone or iphones. Id also consider a ipod connection so that I can keep a permanant ipod touch in the car exclusively for music storage. I do not want to change the headunit, what should I be looking into?

I contacted PAC this morning and they told me the ISHD531 & ISHD651. I think im going to go with the 651 as it give me the most options... 3.5 headphone jack - bluetooth - usb to then allow use for iphone or anything with a usb port plug even a jump drive with music on it.
