Talking Add a 10" subwoofer??

I have only owned my 04 TL for 6 months. I found out about 2 months ago that there is already a built in subwoofer.. (correct me if I'm wrong). Before I bought the TL, I owned a Jetta and had a box in my trunk with an AMP and a 10 inch subwoofer. I want to put it in the TL. How hard would it be to do this if there is already a stock one? I am guessing the wiring would have to connect to the stock one somehow. Not too sure, someone let me know. Thanks!

Run the normal power, ground, and trigger wires to the amp just like any other car.

Disconnect the stock sub and pull the signal from the stock sub wires. This gives you full use of the stock touch screen to adjust sub volume without any aftermarket knobs and such.

Removing the stock sub is a good idea to get more bass up front.... Or you can do what I did, run a bandpass box and have it ported through the rear seat passthrough so no bass gets in the trunk to cause rattles. With subs in the trunk you will have rattling on the rear deck. Do a search in advance for the cure because every TL with aftermaket subs (except the bandpassed setups) will have a rattle.
