The TL Navi is DVD based not Hard Drive based.

I have two JL audio 12 W6s facing backwards with enough power to pop them and no problems over the last year. I tend to listen to them at reasonable levels the majority of the time to avoid turning my car into a rattle trap but occasionally after a bad day at work I've really pushed them with no problems.

Navigation unit does not have a hard drive. It's got solid state storage up front and a DVD drive in the rear. If you were shaking the DVD drive so much that it caused the nav to malfunction. A quick restart (turning the car off and then back on) would fix the problem until you could devise a more permanent solution.

Okay, so what about the DVD getting scratched because of the vibrations from the bass.......

EDIT: nevermind...if that were the case, then the constant road vibrations and bumps in the road would scratch the heck out of it
