6 Months of XM for $25 !
Let my subscription expire a few months ago since I listen to iHeart radio on my smartphone plugged into the tape deck anyway. The last days before XM shut me off and for almost a week after, they rang my phone off the hook trying to get me to renew and I just ignored them.
2 weeks ago, I get a letter in the mail from them telling me they want me back. $25 for 6 months! So naturally I took them up on it. There's no promo code for this as your individual account is noted when they send this particular come back offer out.
I asked about Howard Stern and they said the only way would be to subscribe at full price of $17.95 a month! Sorry Howard, for that much of a price difference, I'll survive without ya.

That is a good deal. Better than any they sent me since I quit over a year ago. Telecommuting 5 days a week really doesn't put me in the car enough to want XM at all. I too use a smart phone via a direct wired setup. Never looked back after quitting. Never paid more than $77/year for 5 years either...
They will re-enroll you at full rack rate and bill you after the fact so be sure to either renegotiate or quit before the 6 months is up.
DMZ - if you like iHeart radio, check out Songza. Different but you might like it.

Nice deal but I also passed and now just stream something. I don't spend enough time in the car anymore to justify paying for music. Not sure that satellite radio can continue for those fees.

Is there any way to get the 6 months for $25 by signing up online? It may be coincidental, but I signed up for a 1 year deal about two years ago and I was asked to give my credit card number over the phone. About 4 months later, I somebody used that card to purchase some items from Best Buy online. My card company was able to return my money though. Long story short, I am not comfortable giving my card number over the phone.
I use Pandora and iheart also. At 6 months for $25 why not. With that being said, If XM would to reduce their price to say $5 a month it would be worth it. I paid the $36 annual upgrade to Pandora One. If Pandora get offer a product for free, why would anyone pay $15 a month for XM? I compare the free version of Pandora to XM because even with the commercials, they still talk way less than the XM dj's.

I do like XM, I've always done the 77 a year promo, I think I'm gonna cancel it soon though since I got a new job closer to home, kinda hard to justify even that for 10 minutes in the car each way.
