4.73 Navigation Disc

Just downloaded this:

MOD EDIT: LINK REMOVED

And I can't get it to work in my 07 TL-S. I had no issues with the burned 4.62 disc, but this one is giving me "Wrong disc, contact your dealer" something like that. Any ideas? Did I miss something about 4.73?

I used CDBurnerXP. I always use it to burn ISO files. I just select the .iso and then click burn. I guess I need to extract it? I don't remember exactly how I did the last one.

Also, it went through all the normal steps when putting in a new DVD. Pleasee wait, don't shut off engine or whatever while it loads the DVD and takes about 3 minutes.

Get magiciso and extract the files, then burn. And i imagine that cdburnerxp burns DVDs too? Because u need a DUAL LAYER 8.5GiG dvd aka DL-DVD because 1 regular dvd holds 4.7 gigs and the file is 6.7 So you need a Dual layer dvd burner with a dual layer dvd... Doest That help?

The dealer quoted me $300 for a new DVD Nav disc b.c my disc is from 06 and is outdated for where I live. Are you telling me I can get this disc online and rip it to a DVD? Please advise as I believe my computer only has a single layer DVD burner

Don't waste your dual layer discs. I know someone who's done many rips and burns of past versions. A few versions ago Alpine had incorporated some type of protection to prevent the disc's data, not the program on the disc, from being accessed. The program one the disc will download and when it searches for the 'Data' it won't be able to access it because they have changed how the system is recognizing the data. It may be the actual book type marking on the disc itself, but that hasn't been determined yet. Apline did this a few versions back and then for some reason they removed it on some older versions. You can burn the 4.63 version, but now they have put the protection back on the 4.73. Good luck.

dowloading and buring disks is a hit and miss, plus illegal. Any misplaced bytes will result in an error. Please do the right thing and buy the disk. I do that now and also have taken down my DIY on copying them.
