I own a 2005 Acura TL 6spd manual factory navigation car. After an expensive overhaul of all the subframe bushings, entire power steering and rack and pinion, new springs shocks, and all end links and suspension bushings I am keeping the car because she runs well. Navigation went out about a year ago and so did factory iPod integration as well as it being obsolete.

Parts I propose to install
pioneer avh4500BT, Bluetooth hands free/streaming, read view camera, 4volt preamp out, and modern iPhone and legacy iPod ipad recognition.

Replace door speakers with Hertz component set
Replace read speakers with Hertz coaxial set
Install kicker 10cvt 4 ohm in custom subwoofer Fiberglas subwoofer enclosure.
precision power pc275 front component set factory location.
Precision power pc250 rear coaxial set
Precision power pc275 kicker cvt 10
Audio control center channel amp/processor with Macrom integra 4 in custom bezel.
Remove and sell functional factory navigation screen asking $300
remove and sell functional factory 6 disc changer . Asking $175
Sell Isimple HD1 iPhone/iPad/iPod hd radio new in box $125 firm
(*)was going to keep factory head unit and integrate.
Remove and sell functional XM asking $80
Remove non functional navigation did. $100
Remove and sell functional Bluetooth. $80
Remove and sell all speakers functional including subwoofer $100
Remove and sell functional factory amplifier $100

My thoughts for metal pieces is wrap with carbon fiber vinyl dinoc. Was going to attempt as dash wrap with Dinoc carbon fiber to hide the cracks and since I have to fabricate new tweeter inserts

I am not sure how dinoc carbon fiber will turn out. I am very disappointed in the quality of materials used in the cabin of an Acura. also the power steering system and cheap rubber in the suspension. Car audio and fabrication I am not worried about was in the industry for over 10 years specializing in SQ competition systems. Although in my Acura it is old putting a $10,000 sound system doesn't make any sense.

Dont be so Gun Shy - That stuff + install is hardly worth 10K

A good quality system starts at around 30+k "not including the car"
