3G shock sensor addition

i would like to add a shock sensor to my stock alarm system. I tried search with multiple different word combos. I have been told that i can't do it by a bunch of alarm installers, but i think i saw on here once about it being done. Also adding a remote start using the factory system and remote, was told that since we cannot lock or unlock the car while the car is running we cannot do it unless we want to use our key to unlock the door. can anyone give me some insight on this. thanks

for the shock sensor, you will need to wire it to the hood latch sensor. Basically if the car is off and the hood opens the alarm will trigger, so basically if the shock sensor feels a shock, it'll make the car think the hood just opened.

As for the remote start, what you can do is buy the KP technologies window module and hook it up so that instead of the module sending the pulse to close the windows, it activates the remote start.

Very good info! I've had this same question for some time and had given up on it.

I did this sometime ago. Just did some work on car, so decided to snap a few pics. I installed a shock sendor & a glass break sensor, both have sensitivity adjust. Either a slap on the car body or a slight tap on the glass with your key will set off the alarm.
1) The shock is from compustar, two stage, but connect to the 2nd stage.
2) The glass break's microphone is directional, so placement of the microphone is critical.
3) Tap the hood switch's 2-wire harness, pin #2 (GRN/BLK). You can get at this switch from underneath the front bumper. Just reach up & disconnect the connector & tap a wire to the 2-wire harness (pin#2, GRN/BLK).
4) Route this wire through the firewall to inside the car, see pics.
5) Connect shock & glass break in parallel to this wire.
6) Tap a constant +12V source, I took it from the ignition harness, make sure use a fuse in between.
7) Route the microphone up to the center air vent.
8) Adjust sensitivity of shock & glass break to your likeing.
9) I just hide the shock sensor & glass break behind the center console.

See the pink wire tapped to the 2-wire harness.

wire is wrapped with electrical tape & tiewrapped to hood release cable.

Tried to add notes to the pics, not allowed...exceeded my 5 minutes.

But the pics itself should be clear enough & self explanatory.

Is there a reason why they couldn't be wired in parallel with a door switch wire? You can access those wires from inside the car.

Dos anyone have any pics or photos on how to install a Shock sensor to the Acura TL stock alarm setup?

My shock sensor came in recently and I'm making another full blown DIY for it...

Stay tuned.

I'm giving it a shot tommorow.
