it was a one time favor from a friend.
i also noticed that when i pulled into my apartment complex, the name of my apartment complex showed up on the bottom (i didnt enter in a destination). Is this a feature on 3.7x DVDs?

i wish i could, but i dont think i have the power to. Supposedly, they use a special type of DVD, and that copies of this one will not work at all. I would if i could :/
Can anyone that has the 3.71 disk check their database and software version? I'm curious now much newer this 3.80 disk is.
I'm not trying to dish out $185 just to have a new disk come out the next week. I still can't believe how much they charge for those updated disks. Should be illegal.

I just got an offer from Acura for the Orange 3.8 dvd from my 2004 TSX, the offer is for the "2009" version and it is $149.00 I wonder if it's worth the update, I have not updated since we purchased the car 01 of 2004. Heck, I"d probably be happy with a 3.70 if i could find one.

bibo136,
From your reply, are you saying that you got the Trip Computer hack to work with 3.8? I was under the impression that the only modification that work with 3.8 is changing the bitmap on the splash screen.

you need to use kenny's mod file for the trip computer. then you need to use cebin to update the bin file otherwise it wont work.
if you want tell me which bin file your navi uses and I can send the the modified file

bibo136,
My '04 uses the BN2HH12C.BIN file. I've been waiting to upgrade to the 3.8 DVD but I've been holding off because I didn't want to lose the trip computer mod I've been using. I guess I wrongly assumed from comments I've read that this hack didn't work on 3.8. It's just the OK nag button hack that doesn't work with 3.8 right?
Thanks,
Bill : )

you are correct only the OK nag button hack doesn't work on 3.8. You will need to use CEBIN to repack the hack file into Bin file, dumpnavi program will throw an error and quit.
bibo136,
Thanks again for your replies. Since I'm only interested in the trip computer hack the nag button isn't an issue for me. When I last did this mod I used the dumpnavi application so I'm unfamiliar with cebin. I've downloaded cebin and kennyc's HMIManager.exe file and I'd like to run the process by you to see if I understand how it works using cebin. Assuming that when I get my copy of 3.80 and my car is still loading BN2HH12C.BIN, it looks like once I copy that bin file and the loader bin file to my hard drive, I use cebin's image command (image BN2HH12C.BIN) to set the current image file. Is my next step to execute the replaceFile command (replaceFile HMIManager.exe HMIManager.exe) to overwrite the original file in the bin with Kennyc's modified exe file? Since all I'm doing is replacing the HMIManager.exe there isn't any reason to first extract the files from the bin is there? Assuming that I'm on the right track my next step is to burn a new CD with the revised copy of BN2HH12C.BIN and the loader bin and reload these files into the navigation DVD drive just like I did before. Have I got the process down correctly?
Thanks,

I've got a 2004 MDX that is running the 3.80 Orange disc. I would love to patch this thing to add the trip computer as well as the OK hack, however, in all my searching, it doesn't sound possible.
I was able to use the basic NAVI-GUI program to change the splash. That wasn't a problem.
The BIN I am using is BN2HH110.BIN
BIBO136 - If you are able to help me at least get the trip computer going, that would rule. And now with it being almost a year since you were talking about this, maybe you or someone has a OK NAG fix for the Orange 3.80 disc?
