After multiple days of researching and searching these forums...I am still at a loss when it comes to hacking my 3.30G. I am afraid I am at the point where I must cheap out and ask....does anyone have the iso to hack a 2004 acura tl with 3.30G so I can change my background, get the trip computer, a/c controls, etc......??? I would really appreciate any input on this. I am also more than willing to send money if you are able to assist me. Thank you in advance.

Can a mod please close this thread as I have I successfully hacked my navi system! I successfully applied the splash, ok/nag, trip computer, and a/c control hacks!!!

 

good to hear...I have an '06 with the 3.5 ver and as much as I want to, I have yet to tackle this.

 

Instead of having a mod close the thread, why don't you tell people how you did it so others can benefit?

 

I apologize! I was posting in the main sticky for the NAVI hacks and did offer assistance to anyone that had requested. I will do the same here as well. In order to succesfully hack the 3.30G, I had to access the bins from a 3.50 NAVI dvd. You must be familiar with NAVDUMP and CEBIN in order to make this happen.

1) I hacked the 3.30G bin to modify the backround image by extracting the bin that your car loads. You will also need to grab the bin with MLD in the filename as it is the boot file. I used NAVIDUMP to replace Back.bmp with my custom image. I was successful with this on the first try.

2) In order to apply the hacks to remove the nag screen, ok button, trip computer, and a/c controls you will need the bin file from a 3.50 version DVD. You will extract the files using NAVDUMP or CEBIN just as you did with backround mod. The patches you will need to get are going to be for the 3.50 software.

3) You will need to modify the navi.exe from the 3.50 version and you will replace the navi.exe in you original bin for the 3.30G verson. Once you compile everything back together, you will load her up to the car!

I just realized that this is of no help to anyone! I am at work right now and just do not have the time to dedicate myself to write up a DIY for this. I will make a detailed write up and will also get the files uploaded that everyone will need. I will make files for all of you 3.30G'ers out there that you will be able to just download and burn to a cd. The cd will solely be 2 files and you will be all set. I am even willing to make custom iso's for you guys that would like to use your own image for the splash page. I promise I will get something together for everyone and make it easy. I guess my goal here is to allow you guys to provide me with your own image you would like to use and I will make the files for you ready to burn!!! All of you that are fed up and hit a brick wall with this hack...STOP WORRYING...the fix is here and I am more than willing to help!!! Stay Tuned!!! It would be cool if a mod could change the name of this thread to something like "3.30G NAVIHACK solution" or something other than what I wrote first! Maybe also delete the first post. I may actually create a new thread for this fix, if so I will post a link to it and you can follow me over!

The fact is that you can replace the startup image with a custom BMP file on the white navi disks.
I have read that it is possible to hack the OK button, et al, but it has not been done to my knowledge and it is a task that is way above my head, as far as hacking skills.
The good news for you white disk owners is that (as of v4.63) you could copy the original disk to use in the car and store the original for safekeeping. We orange disk owners cannot do that. As a matter of fact, if you have a version lower than 4.63 and want to upgrade, Bittorrent is your friend.

Just an FYI, another member and myself are going to compile all of the information for this hack and make it available to pass on to YOU! We will have the files available to download from a host site for your convenience. I am going to prepare some custom bin files with random splash's and different hacks.
