I know there's a post out there about a walkthrough to install 2008 nav and radio into a 2006 to with nav. I'm looking for it since I can pick up the nav radio and camera from a 2008 to parts car for $350 DVD drive another $200 on top. Does anybody know where the walkthrough is so I can decide whether to buy or not?

Look for those that started with non Navi. If they bought something with different part number than your car already has, you most likely need to upgrade.

 

If you’re only trying to benefit from the backup Camera, might as well use that money to get a Navtool Interface. $300 for the box and $10 each camera. You get HDMI input, iPhone/Android mirroring and 4 Camera inputs. Backup, Front, left sideview and right sideview.

while the interface is not exactly plug and play. Neither is the 08 Navi Drive. You still need to get the harness from the 08 car so you can plug the OEM camera into it. Check my thread https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...-where-968436/

My question to you is why not fit a Nexus 7 instead of spending for an outdated GPS interface?
Cheaper (or worse about the same price) and so much better.
