Hello, I am new to this forum but hope to take part in the future, thanks for having me! I believe I am about to buy a 2008 base model TL. I have a question that I will try to ask as plainly as possible. Does this car have an aux input for an iPod? (3.5 mm jack I think it would be). I am NOT asking about aftermarket this or that - maybe that will be a follow-up question. Does the base 2008 Acura TL come out of the factory with an aux input? Any information would be appreciated - thanks!

its in the armrest and u fish the wire threw the small tray so u can close the armrest

 

As the others have said, it's in the lower armrest compartment and there is a small hole to thread the cord through to the upper compartment as well as a cutout towards the front of the armrest so that it can be closed while the ipod rests outside of the armrest. I bought a generic "ipod to aux" 3mm to 3mm cord from Target for about $14 and it works great.

One thing to keep in mind, when using the ipod though "Aux" this way, the volume on your actual ipod must be turned all the way up to control the volume through the radio/steering controls (results in slightly distorted quality). OR you can turn the volume on the radio all the way up to 40 and control the volume directly through the ipod (sounds a lot better to me).
