2008 Bluetooth, replace or aftermarket

I know this has been talked about...

Looking at a 2008 TL (Acura dealer wants top dollar for the car). The salesperson said the previous owner put in a new battery which hurt the Bluetooth module so they (dealer) disconnected it because you can no longer get the new one from Acura. After research I think it’s a load of crap and the module was killing batteries.

Do they kill the battery if working properly or not? Is there a real fix for it?

Would I bother with it, or get the $30 Aux port off Amazon? Or which one for Auxiliary do you recommend??

TY
