Thinking I might be trading my old 98 Prelude SH in on an 08 Base Navi TL within a couple weeks. I've been reading these threads about buying addons to be able to use both XM and an iPod - I see the 08's have an aux in, so can I assume I don't need an extra add-on to use both my XM service and an ipod for this model year?

Correct.

I have an '07. In the Center Storage Console, there is a 3.5mm Jack. I can get a line for the iPOD and plug it into the Jack.

At that point all media input modes are available AM, FM, XM, Disc, Tape and AUX. I just choose which input I want.

Note that there is no charging feature and I have to contol the iPOD to change songs, etc. To charge the iPOD, you'd need some kind of adapter to plug into the 12v outlet.
