2006 TL Bluetooth Phone Problem
2006 TL Bluetooth Phone Problem
I have a 2006 TL - my previous phone (which was a Treo 650) worked fine with the HFL in the TL. I recently upgraded my phone to an AT&T Tilt (HTC 8930 which is a Windows Mobile 6.0 phone) and I was able to pair it successfully with the Acura HFL; however, I'm not able to get the same bluetooth functionality that I had with my Treo. Here's what happens with my new Windows Mobile 6.0 phone...
- I can initiate calls from the HFL through the phone and that works fine (for example, if I say "call xxx-xxx-xxxx" into the HFL, it will place the call through the phone successfully
- I can also receive calls through the HFL - if I get an incoming call, I can answer it through the HFL and that works fine
- When I attempt to iniitiate a call through the phone into the HFL, the phone places the call without engaging the HFL. In other words, if I dial the number from the phone rather than dialing it through the HFL, the phone will dial it and call the number itself without connecting the HFL
This worked fine on my Treo, but doesn't work properly on my new Windows Mobile 6 phone. Has anyone else run across this problem? Is there a solution available?
Thanks,
Chuck Cobb

Thanks for your response...that helps, but I never had to do that with my previous phone - the HFL always activated automatically. Do you think that's a problem in the phone, the HFL, or a combination of both (compatibility issue)?
I too have a 2006 TL and have just upgraded my phone from a treo 650 to an AT&T tilt phone. However, I have been unsucessful at pairing the HFS with my new phone. I have the tilt phone in visible mode, but HFS cannot seem to find the device. Does any one have any hints? Is there a way to put HFS in discover mode? My phone can find HFS but the HFS won't allow pairing in that direction. thanks!

if i understand the question correctly....
if i turn on the HFL first, then dial the number on the phone, it automatically pushes through to the HFL
if i have already dialed on the phone and then want to transfer, then phohljm's response covers that.
