2006 Navi Update Worse Than 2005?
2006 Navi Update Worse Than 2005?
Something weird happened to me yesterday, I took my car for tinting at the dealership where I bought my 2005 Navi a month ago and while waiting for car to be finished I casually brought up how I thought $185 for the Navi update was a ripoff and he said that "I was better off with the version I have."
I asked why and he said that he's received complaints from Miami residents saying that the latest version rather than having more complete coverage actually has LESS in certain areas, for example he said that in the latest update some addresses from this huge shopping mall called Dolphin Mall that is about 2 miles from the dealership don't show on the map, while those addresses show up in the version I have.
I don't know if this is true but I don't see why he would be lying (it makes Acura look bad if anything), and if it is true I find that disturbing, first TL owners get screwed with the 3rd vs 4th generation units and now this coverage issue, I hope Acura gets on the ball soon with this navigation thing
