so i just registered for this forum and its pretty cool so far. anyway, i see a lot of threads about turning the nav into a dvd player/video screen. i only see the info for 06 and later models though. Am I missing something?

I went to nav2go and i found nothing for an 08. i found something called navtool http://www.tvandnav.com/acuratl2.aspx

what all do i need to do this. some of the threads are so old that the pics are gone.

ebay has the navtool for 225 for 08 tls

 

the navtool and the tvandnav2go are essentially the same thing, but one is sold by dom in new york and the other by another person. Go to their website and email them, tell them your from acurazine and ask if you can still get the 225 for the plug and play kit.

 

I am in the same boat. I have an 07 and also only seen write-ups for 04-06 TL's and most are missing pics being such old threads. turbocivic94 has an 07-08 TL-S so hopefully we will get a nice current and up to date write up. Im actually about to purchase the Navtool on Ebay probably within a week and plan on looking at DVD players this weekend at Best Buy and a few Audio Shops.

Hopefully this is not jacking your thread but if you plan on installing a DVD player as a media source I found this for an 04-08 TSX. Does anyone know if this will fit a 3Gen TL? Thanks and good luck!

 

Nope, won't fit, the TSX has a larger center console an as well that DVD player interfaces with the IVES system or is used to play MP3 disks for the TSX. Either way trying to wire it up is going to be a PITA and as well it won't fit...
