Sup All,

Noobie here, recently purchased a 07 Type-S and was curious about the vehicles alarm system features. After arming (hitting the lock button twice), the car "beeps".

What will trigger the alarm?

* glass breakage
* attempting to start the car w/o the key (hotwire)
* abnormal movement (car getting towed, lifted or hit)

From my past exeperience, glass breakage wouldn't set off the alarm, I think most stock car alarms only sound when one attempts to start the car w/o the key? Most newer vehicles (2000 & up) usually have a "chip" in the key, which is required to start the car. I'm assuming the TL's do as well?

As my lady found out the other day, if the car is locked via the remote while someone's still in it, and they unlock the doors with the door switch, the alarm will go off.

Yeah, that got me in a little trouble.
