Just purchased the 07 TL Acura which I love so far.
Just a few questions,

Why did I not receive full season rubber mats with the car.. And any suggestions where I should purchase these..

Also I have a Creative Zen MP3 player, I do not have a macintosh IPOD.. No one knows at the dealerships or at acura if I can still by an adaptar and hook it up to the connector in the center console that is already is already installed through the stereo system.?? Anyone know anything I am talkin about?
They 07 has the IPOD connector already installed in the center console.. I just want to know if I could use my mp3 player..

Welcome, read and learn.

The all weather mats are optional. Some people get them thrown in with the deal, others not. I didn't get anything with my car. You'll find better prices for most stuff online or on ebay. e.g. wheel locks, dealer wanted $69, I found them for $30 on ebay OEM. I picked up my mats from another member on this site for $50. Check the bay and the black market on this site.

This site also has some vendors that support the site, and they have some good prices. I've gotten a few items from http://www.hondacuraworld.com/ they were excellent to deal with and reasonable.

As far as your mp3 player, I think the best way for you to go is with a cassette adapter. Ugly but works, and is cheap. Poke around I'm sure that people have some other ways to do it, but it'll cost more. The ipod adapter is standard on the 07's? I don't think so, they probably already had it installed and added it to the price, I could be wrong.

DMcNabb,

You can definately connect your Zen Mp3 Player to the 2007 TL standard aux input in the center console. You just need a stereo male to stereo male 1/8 inch stereo mini plug. It looks like the connecter on your earphones, except it's on both ends.

It looks like this:

Just plug one end to your ear plug connection (on the Zen) and the other one in the console.

Switch to auxiliary mode on the Tl stereo and your set.

If you use the aux in for a mp3 player (I have a Creative Zen as well ) will it be played using the new Dolby Prologic II audio software?

Welcome and congrats on the new car! I think you're one of the first '07 (non Type-S) aboard.

Hey thanks for everyone's help.. I am suprised everyone got back to me so quickly, and yes the TL's finally came out with the aux hook up. However, like I said everyone says IPOD this and IPod that and the dealership and it makes me cringe everytime they say IPod.. I hate that word Ipod

How are you so positive about this connector? I guess I can get this at a circuit city or a best buy correct? Is there a certain word for it? Im going there on my lunch break, wish me luck.. Thanks again thisguymo

Congrats on the new car. I have an 04 without that kind of connector. Would be nice. Bought the Monster iCarPlay tape adapter to try and run MP3s from my Palm LifeDrive (Pockettunes) thru the stereo. The adapter works with hissing sound as it plays in the cassette player. However, the sound is sooo poor. To just hear the songs I have to crank the Palm sound to max + crank the car volume to max just to hear the song play. Forget about trying to blast the volume. Need some type of conversion for my 04 to get better sound of MP3s.

I run mp3s from my Motorolla Q thru this connector, it's a 3.5mm stereo "jack".

You'll need a 3.5mm stereo plug on one end of your cable and whatever the Zen uses as it's output on the other (most likely the same 3.5mm plug but my Q uses a 2.5mm plug so I needed different jacks on each end of the cable.

I know because my brother has a Creative Zen Player and the 2007 TL manual Pg 180.

BTW 1/8 inch and 3.5mm is the same size connector.

My mats were lost by a detailer (yeah, I know, I should've done it myself, don't rag on me) so I needed new ones. I got replacement mats at hondafloormats.com. They carry every Honda and Acura original equipment floor mat, all colors, and at a good discount from dealer price. Highly recommended!

I bought the jack and it sounds awesome! I couldnt believe it worked. After all this IPOD talk. Its a little of a pain in the butt to change my songs unless I kept my center console open but its so worth it.

My next question is some of these websites for purchasing floor mats say they are for 05' 06', havent seen any for the 07, but ill keep looking.
I want one that fits perfectly in there... no cutting and making fit nonsense.

You can hook anything you want to the aux jack. I hook my laptop to it and my PSP. Basically anything with a headphone jack you can hook up to it.

Aux Jack

I have my '07 TL on order; I know the Aux Jack plays an IPOD how about an external Sirius Radio (Sportster)? It has a 3.5mm output jack, so it should play. Anyone try this yet?

There is an opening in the back left of the top portion of the center console that your aux cable can run through so that your iPod (haha...mp3 player) can sit out with the console closed.

I don't think the Sirius portable players have a headphone jack. I wonder if the FM out (which I think is the 3.5mm you're talking about) would work? Very possible since I think the FM direct connect units go from FM out to Aux in back of stereo (I think???). Let me know what you find out.
