06 TL Sound System Question

I got my 06 TL a couple of months ago. I just felt that the system was not as good as the second generation was in terms of the bass.

all the second generation TLs have BOSE system on them which sounds better than the one that I have on my 06 TL in terms of the bass.

Is there an options to choose BOSE system in our third generation TL?

Why don't you try putting in a different sub for starters? My guess is that would satisfy you at least temporarily.

Not that would be cheap and easy...

It's actually really cheap to upgrade the TL stereo with some better components.

Tweeters:
Infinity 1011t: $50

Center Channer:
Infinity Kappa 32.7 $35

Doors and rear deck:
Infinity Kappa 62.7 $180

Sub, I'm going this route:
Drop in JL 8W3v2 and JL e1200 amp... $150

The problem is, I don't want to run wire to put amp and sub on my car.

I just don't want to take out the dash panels.

So, do you need to run amp for the subs? The vocal sound is good enough for me, but I can't stand with the bass.

What I meant was: why don't you just take out your factory sub and get one that is more efficient? That way, your bass will get louder at a lower volume and you'd probably be able to avoid cranking it to get good bass, which could damage the factory speakers. You could probably do just fine with replacing the speakers themselves and not worrying about installing amps.

Reread my post...
I'm replaceing the stock sub (in stock location) with a JL 8W3v2 and powering it with a JL e1200 amp. That should give plenty of bottom end.

I'm not looking for 180 dB system or a trunk and teeth rattling experience like many of the bling systems folks are into...

That's probably what I am going to do. Changing the subs..
