Got in my 05 just a little bit ago after getting off work. Navigation screen goes through its thing with the disclaimer and I notice I can’t press the “OK” button. Screen then goes dim and tried to turn on the radio and that doesn’t work either. Ended up pressing the buttons on the steering wheel for navigation voice command and the disclaimer screen comes back up with the “OK” button, still can’t press “OK” and then after a bit then the screen goes dark. I can’t even get to the diagnosis screen either. Checked the disc in the trunk and it’s fine. Any ideas, thanks in advance for any input.

 

perhaps the touchscreen is not touch any more????????????????
ie: it's broken...

I came to that conclusion with the process of elimination provided the given context....ie; works with steering wheel controls

 

That’s a bummer. Might have to go check the pick n pulls for one. Wouldn’t think it would kill the radio too.

 

A screen/monitor isn't apart of the radio...it's just a display

again, only coming to that conclusion based off the context of the post...ie; works with steering controls but touchscreen does not interact with touch.

You might have to do further testing to figure out if the screen really is bad

 

does the little joystick (silver in the center) work?
