'05 Acura TL....access wire for Hi low & pre install quest.

Is there a diagram some where as well as a convenient spot to access the factory harness to hook up a line converter to the speaker wires for an amp.

Also for a 4guage power wire is there a good hole already to route thru or where are you drilling new one?

What are you using for remote turn on signal?

Thanks,

I spliced in at the factory amp by soldering RCA connectors to the preamp side. I have a 6 speed so there is a grommet in the middle of the firewall for the power wire. I believe Autos have it near where the clutch peddle would be. For the power on i used an acc wire. One word of advice though is not to let metal RCA connectors touch the factory amp casing. I had bad engine whine when they did. Moved them away with some foam and it sounds great.

Thanks,
My stuff arrives tommorrow and Weds. Should instal on Thirsday-Fri!!
I went with the AudioControl LC7i, so I will run RCA's from that to the amp.

Need to decide on where to mount the alpin pdx-v9 amp. Probably in trunk on back of seat....
Thanks,

Nice, i am running an older Audiocontrol EQS and an alpine pdx-F6. I was able to hide both behind the panel on the passenger side in the trunk. I built a bracket and made sure the trunk hinge would not contact anything. A bit of trial and error but a nice clean install in some otherwise wasted space.

Do i cut the wires prior to the factory amp for the Audio control?

Also the lc7i can take front and rear channels and "create" a third channel for the sub amp or should i use the subwoofer speaker wires to make the 3rd(subwoofer ) rca's
