04 TL W/navi Carpc project underway!!!

Factory installd Navi......................$2,000 (i love to death)
Aveletronics navi hack...................$500 (could be better to have vga input)
carpc............................................. .$630(self built)
6,000 mp3's at my fingertips..........PRICELESS!!!!!

I have all the products in, and the pc is put together, now the hard part to take apart my pride and joy!! I got the service manual, so that gives me a little more confidence. I know this is worthless withouth pics and all that stuff, I will have pics as i go on.

STAY TUNE!!!!

P.s. if anyone knows or has figured out how to use the navi touch screen for anything but (mitshu built ) navi.

I have been thinking it would be cool to surf the net while driving home.

how would you stay connected to the internet? using cellphone would be one way but kinda costly for a bit of internet access.

it would be pretty cool to have net in the car, but while driving isn't my intention, while driving i plan to use, mp3 and dvd and thats about it. If my passanger wants to surf its a good thing to have, but i plan to stay connect thru open wireless networks in parking lots of hot spots. I also have unlimited internet on my cell phone plan so i can use my phone as a gateway to the www.
