'04 Non-Navi double DIN install

After 6 years finally pulled the trigger on replacing the OEM in dash 6 disc changer with......................another in dash 6 disk changer.

Installer: AudioX, Florence Alabama Steve Cook-Owner

This is what he got done today.

Trim is going to paint tomorrow.

I see it. Are you getting the aluminum trim redone?

The aluminum was removed. Material was added to the remaining plastic to come out to the new deck. The trim is being painted the same color as the trim on the steering wheel. Instead of a trim ring around the double din the side trim was extended to go to it. So far looks much better than anything else I have seen. Can't wait to see it complete.

Are the pictures showing now? More will be added after complete.

Looks good! At first, I thought that was a Macinstosh HU. What is it?

Is this the only change to your current set up or are you making more changes to your system?

This is a Sound Monitor. Made by Eclipse for the Japanese market only. Had it imported. There are a couple on Ebay now. Tuner does not pick up US stations and the converter just plain sucks. This does have an analog input. I am going to use a Zune HD on it for radio. I spent a week tuning the system with this sitting in the passengers seat before I decided to stick it in.

I had other changes in mind until I hooked this up. Going to have to rethink everything once I spend more time with it.

Very nice!!

I tried to email Steve at audiox@aol.com & it got kicked back & said the email address does not exist....I really want to do this to my TL!!

Also, do you think he would sell me a kit or something to do this? Because I live in Iowa & would be really tough for me to get to Alabama...

I am not so much a fan, It looks off with nothing in the screens above, maybe a nav conversion will look better. I think the unit looks a little cheap, i was expection a touch screen.
Looks good install wise!

Its audioxinc@aol.com My bad!

Looking into adding an 07 navi. Never had Navi so I am not sure what is needed.

Those units are for pure SQ. If you want neon lights and noise when you hit a button, these are not for you.

Steve also installed a full CompTech alarm in this car. He owns an 08 as well.

AudioX is in Florence, AL. The very north west corner of Alabama. He has a truck from Indiana in the shop now. Folks bring him stuff from all over. The Incrimator Audio build shop is right down the street too.
