Did you ever try this? Has it worked for anyone else? If so does anyone have a guide for doing it with the Navitech unit?
@ashkuz
I have't tried that wiring yet, but I did see a video a while back where it worked. The noise filter did absolutely nothing for me.

I will ask my NaviTech contact for any updated firmware files and see if it fixes that for me. Your clock is in F not C?

One more question. Do they provide update log? I'm just wondering if it's worth of spending time on backing up what I have in case of failure.
I don't see an update log, but im not great with android software files so I wouldn't know. I will say this, I forgot updating basically restores the device. It will delete all ur apps and settings but keep your stored files. Also, there is no ACURA boot up logo in this version which is a tiny thing and doesn't really matter but still bugs me haha.
Also: They change the A/C controls to be a full screen app instead of a little menu that slide up from the bottom.
@TLTypeSDream Nice! I actually contacted the manufacturer and confirmed with her that is indeed the one.
Also everyone, NaviTech has let me know that there is NO Extra Charge for the Red LED version of the Navi if you just let her know in the order message. I've also let her know that maybe a WHITE or Multi Color version would be better for all this money we're paying for the navi as it is.

Is there an option to buy a kit to convert the blue LEDs to red?
Weird. @1low3rdGen u can always ask try question here in case others have a similar one.
I downloaded your software as my unit has a major glitch of getting hung up in an app then crashing and restarting completely.
So after downloading the software I shoved the files on a usb stuck it in the usb cord and no magic happened. So I then go back to the computer unzipped the files. Back to the car and still no magic. Both times I restarted the unit. Is there something I'm missing?
@1low3rdGen I thought I replied to this but it seems to have not gone through.
The software files should be all on the root of the stick (not in a folder). Try both usb wires because one of mine doesn't work with usb stick so im assuming its only one that works. Make sure the card is on Fat32 format. You shouldn't require restarting it should pickup on the files automatically after plugin.
I have the newest model of the Tesla screen. Currently, the carlink2.0 app will launch and immediately crash without anything occurring. I’ve tried removing cache and native files to no success. It randomly stopped working yesterday pm after working in the morning. Thanks in advance

I factory reset the device and everything is working just fine
Got this unit installed in my 3rd gen and after some tweaks I'm relatively happy, however I'm bummed about the audio control. Why on earth does it only have two channels out???
does the launcher replace the entire operating system that's built in, or just like an add on? Im pretty new to some of this kind of stuff.
It would only replace the same launcher (which has a different car). Not the one in your pic. However, I don't think the navitech software has this launcher by default. I pulled it from the software on my device since I am using a different firmware than the original Navitech one. All this changes is the home screen. You can just install it like a regular apk. This is what it looks like (blank box is for whatever app you select, such as Maps)
It would be really nice to get a pinnout diagram for the backside of this unit. There are "Subwoofer" settings but I have no idea where the sub out line is...
Anyone have any parasitic battery drain with this unit? Trying to do some troubleshooting and this is the only new factor.
@RxWorld No there shouldn't be any. Ive had it for 4 years without any drain what so ever.

@icemint.asa This is a realy nice launcher, much prettier than the one I released. can you send over the files. I'll add it to the folder

Finally got it installed and working well! How do I change this red car? I'd like to just remove it and have no car.
In order to change it you...
1. Go to the settings menu.
2. Go to the crossed wrench and flat head screwdriver and input the code.
3. Go the "car model" option.
All your options are there even though not well labeled so you will have to go through each one to figure out how you want yours setup. Mine is setup with no car using this layout...
Can box type: LZ(HZ)
Car brand: Benz
Car model: B200/VIANO
Can box: HZ.XP
Looks like this on mine currently but tend to change it when I'm bored. I might have to check out some of the new versions some of the guys here have posted.

Bud... That's the canbus settings. A/C controls on the head unit won't work anymore if you change from the one meant for the car. It will change the UI but the whole reason to have a vehicle specific unit is now null..
Any fixes yet for the constant audio buzzing sound? This is the last thing with the unit I really want to get fixed... Thanks!
It’s not possible to fix it. I’ve seen a video where someone bypassed the unit and cut the speaker wires from the amp to the RCA directly. I’m not so sure how plausible that is to do with our unit.

Ah thank you for that insight. Part of the reason I chose that one is because I don't use the A/C controls on the unit and thus prefer the lack of those visible controls. But outside of that are you saying it changes other features as well? If so, what else?
