*Speaker Humming Update*
*Speaker Humming Update*
I originally started a thread almost a year ago about my speakers having a humming or alternator whine coming through them.
This is that thread: Click Here.
Well over the last few weeks i have been researching on here about it. I found this one thread that mentions the stock amp going bad causes this issue. I wish i could find it again so i could give some credit.
Today I decided to start troubleshooting again. I killed the amps and just listened to the center speaker. I heard the humming coming through that speaker, That is the only speaker that was still running directly off the stock amp. the other speakers were being fed off the stock amp, but through the aftermarket amps. So i figured YAY! I finally found the problem.
So after i discovered the cause, i decide to take all the splices away from the output of the amp and put them on the input. The only speakers that i was worried about was the door and rear deck. I wasnt worried about the center and i have not heard any humming coming through the subs. I remade all the stock connections after the amp (just for the hell of it).
I then found the color code for the speaker wires for before the stock amp and spliced them to the aftermarket amp. Still leaving the center and sub wires intack. Before i hooked the connectors back up to the stock amp, i turned my car on just to test and everything sounded great. So I put everything back together and went to test it again. I did not hear anything this time not even through the center speaker.
I do not know what exactly happened, but i am not complaining. My guess would be that there was feedback coming from the aftermarket amp to the stock amp.
I am happy that i finally fixed the issue, all due to the one thread that i found about the bad stock amps. That may not have been my issue, but without it, i wouldnt have thought to bypass the stock amp. If i do happen to find that thread i will give credit to those people in it that made the suggestion.
Thanks to everyone who attempted to help me with this issue.

I found the thread here that helped me think the stock amp was the problem. Here it is:Click Here. I actually read it the whole way and found that rockstar bypassed the amp because his was going bad. I would like to thank him for finding that problem in his car, to help me figure out the problem.

is your noise, a white noise (pink noise like). and did you loose any volume output, does your music sound tiny now. i want to bypass my factory amp just like you did but i've read that you loose volume ouput and the music doesn't sound powerfull.
Op your splices likely was bad. When you redid it, it worked out ok cause the splices weren't fully secured in the first place. And since you've messed with it, you fixed it without knowing. That can happen alot of times during installs.
i am not sure, i have redone my after amp splices before and the noise never went away. I tmay have been that though. I really dont know. I am just glad that it finally got fixed.
