My dealer said that rattles are a "sign of a tight, well built car and not to let anyone tell me otherwise". Can you believe that??????

Maybe it's true, but I doubt it. I stayed at a nice hotel in the Denver area and they had a complimentary driving service to take you places. The car was a new Mercedes S430 - a VERY nice car. Sitting in the back seat I could hear several rattles.

You shouldve told him that "your wife's sign of tightness now explains her well built." :fingerfawk:

If you put things together very tightly in the car, they may squeak when temp is up/down 30 degrees and the car is moving on uneven surface/conditions. Whatever Acura dealership says, Acura factory/design department should use the good materials and put the enough insulation between each part, and make sure they're firm and flexible.
When your dealer tells you "sign of a tight", yes, they just confessed themselves to a fail in building and assembling cars due to whatever reasons they don't want to tell you.

That is probably the funniest statement I've heard today. I want the guy's email address to personally thank him for making such an ass out of himself.
